Millennium Bridge, London, England

Reopening of the Millennium Bridge
One in a million to walk across the new bridge that was once 'wobbly'

Today my friend Nigel and I walked across the new and improved millennium bridge. It has been almost a year and half since the bridge was closed due to its 'wobbling' and unsteady structure. Today it was steady, even with its heaps of people. The new design includes spring structures beneath the platforms securing the bridge from moving side-to-side. Now people can enjoy a walk across London's first pedestrian-only bridge over the Thames River. This was an 'event' and was quite interesting to see how many people incorporated a walk across the new bridge during their lunch break.
